Employment Opportunities for the 2021-22 School Year

Lead Four's Teacher: Unity Preschool is seeking a dedicated and preferably experienced part-time Preschool Lead Teacher for our Four’s class. We seek a teacher who has demonstrated skills establishing effective relationships with staff, parents, and children along with excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. In this rewarding position, you will assume responsibility for creating and maintaining an educational, creative, loving, and nurturing environment for our preschool children and their families.  Lessons Plans and training with our Four's Staff will be provided. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 8:15 until 12:30.  

Assistant Three’s Teacher (THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED): Unity Preschool is seeking someone who has a genuine love for children and is prepared to nurture a young child’s faith. Our Assistants work with the Lead Teacher so that together you can best meet each child’s needs and enhance their early learning experience. Some duties may include the following: reading to children, preparing snacks, assisting with bathroom breaks, prepping crafts, monitoring classroom behavior, and working with children individually and/or small groups with daily lessons prepared by the Lead Teacher. Hours are Tuesday thru Thursday from 8:30 until 12:15.

Qualifications for the above positions:

  • College Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred. 
  • Experience in a preschool or early childhood setting strongly preferred.
  • Decision making, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Above average interpersonal skills, written/oral communication skills, and an ability to work with a wide variety of people and circumstances.
  • Must be able to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects when needed.
  • Physical demands are more than those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time.

Unity Preschool follows the Fort Mill School District calendar for days off.
